When you order from TrepStar, two 'Customer Email Notifications' are sent IF you have the setting turned on within your TrepStar Dashboard Account Settings.
The first email is sent when the product is ordered. This email can be configured. Login to the TrepStar dashboard and click the link that looks like: Customer will receive Order Notification Email - Click here to configure.
As of 2/1/2023, we no longer send the 2nd tracking email. The reason is that we now have a new tracking page that the customer can view when they order product. A link to this tracking page is in the first email. Sending the 2nd email is not needed anymore
There is a 2nd Customer Order Notification: It is sent later, when postage is printed. It has tracking information. Postage is printed after the order is submitted depending on several factors*. TrepStar does not have tracking information until that time. This is the reason there are two notifications.
The 2nd notification is important if you want TrepStar to automatically give your customer tracking information. Otherwise, you'll have to login to TrepStar, click Recent Orders, and find the tracking information for each order if your customer requests it.
The 2nd notification can't be customized at this time. We use 3rd party software that we can not configure on a per order basis. The following examples show what this 2nd notification looks like. You may test this yourself by ordering your product using your email on the order form.
There is no way to configure TrepStar settings such that just the first email is sent, but not the second, or just the second, but not the first... Both are either ON, or OFF.
* Tracking information only becomes available when postage prints which occurs after the order is placed. Postage prints after the product is ordered based on delays you may set within your Dashboard 'Account' settings. You, "the publisher", and your customer may modify the address before it's printed (a great feature). Finally, there are cases when your order is on hold. We don't send the notification until after the order is paid, and postage printed (at some time later).
