What you should do when your product is first approved.

Account Status for AdsGone Popup Killer ID=1 Project status: Approved

NEXT STEP: If this is a new project, and/or you're not yet familiar with how this works, login to www.trepstar.com, click  the order button, enter your address, and order a sample copy for yourself. The following are several useful guidelines:

  * We strongly urge new publishers to submit a single quantity sample order to their own address to make sure they are satisfied with TrepStar quality and service:  As per our license agreement http://www.TrepStar.com/license-agreement.asp and several other warnings including this one, remember there are normally no refunds for any reason.  Because we are an on demand service, any orders you submit can not be cancelled since we'll be making your cd/dvd right away.

  * When you receive product in the mail, please test it in as many devices as possible.

  * The next order we receive for this project (from this email forward) will trigger our system to manufacture the product with the currently approved settings.

  * Ordering the product triggers our system to download the burn files and artwork (usually only once).

  * We make the disc only when an order is submitted (to save on resources).

  * If you never order product, we never attempt to download the files, artwork, or attempt to manufacture the product.

  * Warning: Errors CAN occur after a project is approved if there are errors in the burn files or if we have problems printing artwork.

  * IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS with the new project, we do not ship anything until project errors are fixed (this could take several days and often requires your cooperation).

  * If there are manufacturing errors, we let you know by email, and explain how to fix them.

  * Warning: A project may burn without burn engine errors, but if there are any flaws in your original .iso file or project files, those errors will be present in your final product. In other words, we burn exactly you give us. Please test what we send you before taking lots of customer orders.

  * On a positive note, it's most common that no burn errors will occur, especially if you're familiar with our system.  Nevertheless, we encourage you to order a copy for yourself whenever you add a new project or make changes to one.

  * We recommend you leave your artwork (.jpg) images online because it makes the TrepStar user interface work more smoothly.

  * If you choose to have the first order sent to your customer (regardless of shipping method), you should understand there could be delays before we're able to get the disc made and sent to the customer if any errors occur.

The most common problems are:

   1) You are trying to make an audio disc but the play length is over 80 minutes.

   2) Your .iso image file did not burn correctly.

   3) The files do not fit on the disc (too large) 700MB for CD, 4.7GB for DVD.

   4) You have a multi-disc set and one of your discs files has any of the above problems.

   5) The disc graphic didn't print the way you expected (sometimes parts of the graphics are trimmed in areas you did not expect).

In some of these instances, we may require you to send us a copy of the disc(s) by mail. We charge a $5.00 setup charge per disc. Learn More: http://www.TrepStar.com/easy-dvd-cd-self-publish-setup.asp

Absorb some of the Retail Order s/h charges

If you use the TrepStar retail order page, you may now change the amount of shipping/handling your retail order customer pays.

Lowering the amount the customer pays for shipping and handling will increase sales.   You may now absorb some of those fees from your net proceeds. In other words, set your retail price up a few dollars, and set your cart settings to absorb a few dollars in shipping costs (so your overall net proceeds remain the same). New multi disc cases and Modify Addresses

Important news:

1) We just received a special new shipment of multi disc DVD cases. They are 100% new material which means they are much less brittle and less prone to crack during shipment. In recent years, the quality of the multi disc cases we could buy has declined. We did some research and found a wholesaler that made a special order to their manufacturer. They were able to make us 100% new material cases. You do not have to do anything if you have multi disc sets. We are using these as a replacement to the old ones. There is no additional cost for these.

Furthermore, we're looking into a more high quality, better looking, DVD case for multi disc sets. It will be thicker than a normal DVD case (about twice as thick). It will hold up to 12 discs instead of 6. This new option will be available in a month or two and it will only cost about fifty cents more for this higher quality case.

2) You now may edit your publisher settings and pick the time allowed to modify addresses. In the past, you had 1 hour. Now you can set this up to 10 hours. Login, and click the edit button across the top row of buttons.

3) We are adding a feature that allows your customer to edit their own shipping address. Now, when we process an order, we add a link that allows the end user customer to modify the shipping address. This email is sent when your order is submitted to TrepStar. This allows the end user to make changes to the shipping address before postage is printed (so you don't have to order again at your cost). You can turn this feature on from within your TrepStar Publisher settings. The Edit Link will be available within a few days. When people start using the feature, you will receive email notifications when they do. Login, and click the edit button across the top row of buttons.

Modify order addresses for up to 10 hours.

You may now change the amount of time you have to modify the address data for customer orders.  Historically, we allowed you 1 hour to modify address information for new orders.

Now you can edit your publisher settings and set this from between 0 and 10 hours.   This gives you time to fix addresses when customers contact you about incorrect data.

Login, click the Edit Publisher button and set the amount of time you want to be able to edit customer addresses.

TrepStar buy now buttons retail order page video update

TrepStar Buy Now Button Examples

Video: TrepStar Buy Now Button Retail Order Page Summary

We've updated the video that describes most of the important details regarding our TrepStar buy now buttons.  Please watch the video and comment on whether it was helpful, but more importantly, what new questions you may now have.

Set your default shipping method

You may now set your default shipping method which affects the order form, and any PayPal or shopping cart integrations (eJunkie or 1ShoppingCart).

Some publishers like to always ship with delivery confirmation.  Others like standard shipping only.  Some prefer to always ship priority.   You can edit your publisher settings so the order form defaults to this shipping method so you don't have to set it each time you order.   You can always change this on the order form for special cases.

In addition, if you use PayPal or eBay order automation, or use eJunkie, 1Shopping cart, we will use this default setting if your shopping cart or PayPal does not specifically tell us which shipping method to use.   For example, if you do nothing, the PayPal IPN data contains the shipping method "Default".   Once you set your TrepStar default shipping method, we will use that for the default shipping method.

Login to TrepStar, click the edit button near the top to edit your publisher settings.

How do I get my music published on iTunes?

This is how you get your music on iTunes:

TrepStar helps you manufacture and ship physical cds or dvds, but if you want your music on iTunes and the Apple Music Store you just need to apply, and upload your music and artwork graphics files.

  1.  Apply at Apple's ITunes Music Store Website.  Publishers and artists that want to put music on the iTunes Music Store must apply.  Apple needs to look it over and approve your content.
  2. Apple will review your application.   It may take several days and up to three weeks.  Apple will respond to you via email.
  3. Once approved, Apple will give you instructions to upload your music to the Apple Servers.  Your application approval email will contain links and instructions.
  4. Once your uploads are completed, your music will be available on the iTunes Store.   You can choose cover art (upload your graphic art) and product descriptions at any time.
  5. Finally,  your music is accessible from the iTunes Store by anyone with iTunes installed on their computer or any owner of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
